The median price for detached single family homes in Palm Springs was $608,000 for July 2018. This represents a year-over-year July increase of +3.4% and an increase from the 2011 low of +81.5%. In fact, Palm Springs is the only valley city where the median home price exceeds the 2006 high, albeit by a nominal amount (+1.3%).
The median price for attached homes homes (condos and town homes) in Palm Springs was $226,250 for July 2018. This represents a year-over-year July increase of +7.2% and an increase from the 2011 low of +61.7%. However, the median home price is still off the 2006 high by -30.7%.

Flying in to Palm Springs is a breeze. Come off the jetway, walk through the outdoor courtyard to baggage claim, out the front door and you are just about a mile and a half to downtown. Once you own a condo or home and are keeping a wardrobe in the desert you may even find that walking with your light carry-on is a pleasant transition to the laid-back desert lifestyle. If the pool or happy hour is calling, Uber, Lyft and taxis can now pick up at the airport.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is the world's largest rotating tram car. During the 10-minute ride up you will get a taste of the spectacular views you will see from the Mountain Station at top (elevation 8,516 feet and 30 degrees cooler than the desert floor). While at Mountain Station one can enjoy viewpoints, hike over 50 miles of trails, watch two documentary films or visit the natural history museum.
